Post Re: First Show?
First show ever? I was 5 and got to sing with Judy Collins for a taping of Sesame Street. My cool parents took me to see Ike and Tina Turner in the 70s. I also got dragged to A Lot of Tom Jones shows (he and my dad were friends). First show of my choosing? KISS - makeup on 1977. I won tickets on the radio... Told my parents they were kinda like the Beach Boys so they let me go at such a tender age...

My folks weren't big on live shows growing up. Well, my dad was but he went places children shouldn't be, ie: NOLA music festivals.

My first show was 2002 I think, All-American Rejects. Lame.

first one I remember going to and paying for was in high school at sunshine day dream. pretty sure dso, keller, sci, yonder, leftover salmon was there..... good times back there at Jerry Bash in the WV hills. Trip's farm used to be cool, some says it is again, dono maybe I'll go back again one day.

I went to many many fests at Trips. I loved that place, real family vibe. The last time I was there was for Jerry's Birthday Bash the year trip passed. It did start to get a major sketch vibe around the time after he died. The crew that took over didn't have Trips best interest at heart. It has been recently been taken over by the "Old Family" and they're slowly rebuilding.

yeah I've heard they're trying to bring it back, see ads for shows and what not. Hard to see them getting back to it's former glory. Even before tripp passed it was going down hill. It's sad all these smaller venues have all these problems. They're so close and cheap.

It was awesome, my Aunt who was in college took me, I was probably the youngest person there. It was great.

Rush 1981, Montreal Canada. I was So blitzed I don't even remember the band starting, sorta remember getting there. Lived about an hour and a half away in Vermont, and drank the whole trip up there. Idiot 15 YO that I was..

Found this, and its the same concert. So 30 years later I finally got to hear it. 8-)
