In the old city yesterday, saw them setting up for this. Anyone going? JJ Grey & Mofro on the ticket for $5. http://rhythmandribs.net/

There is a large group of us going! A few of us have hotels within walking distance. If you arrive before 3 pm, I think the cost is just $3. Bring on JJ!

Actually it is still 2 dollars before 3 again this year - awesome. Something a bit different this year is that they are saying no re-entry for any of you folks who like to make trips to the car to get additional gear.

I was wondering how the early ticket could cost less. That would explain it.

Two words:

Damon Fowler

He's one of this countries best young guitarists around.
I Automatically out him in the same general category as the great Derek Trucks.

Young Talented. Phenom. Saturday @jax beach pier.
430 pm-6 I believe.

After Derek Trucks' name- I can't think of ONE guitarist thAt belongs in his category

I'm also gonna try to roll down to see JJ Grey.....(..45 mins away) but there's ZERO chance I'm missing him!!
He will be a feature in monster festivals like Wanee very soon.

I won't be at Rhythm & Ribs myself; looks like a good event though.

For those of you who will be there on Sunday, Swamp Cabbage is great fun, and they rock pretty hard too. Think ZZTop, if Billy, Dusty and Frank had grown up in the bayou. Check this~

JJ is the man. Down to Earth, 'one of us', types
Real
Its a damn shame he doesn't do the Wan anymore but thats part of his charm. Its totally "JJ"to 'keep it real' and do something much more local.
GCMedicine is like renegade bluegrass. Many will probably like.
The weather is going to be 100 percent sun and 80! PERFECT
All i smell are Orange Blossoms after the rain

Damon is really, really good; I've had the pleasure of seeing him perform a number of times, including once right across the road from my office at a little street festival.
