Post Question about car safety.
Hey all!

This is going to be my 3rd Wanee and I am getting super excited about next week!

But I hit a snag on plans when my buddy canceled because of some family stuff as we were going to use his car to haul stuff down from Georgia and primitive camp.

Now it looks like I'm stuck on my own and the only car I have is my Porsche two-seater.

I never thought twice about car safety in previous years because I always came down in something totally inconspicuous, but I'm wondering if you guys think my car will draw the wrong kind of attention and get vandalized or anything?

Any suggestions? Am I over-thinking it?

Thanks all!

It stands the same chance as any other. I wouldn't worry too much. Just lock it and you'll be fine. Or you could just rent a Prius.

I had the same issue until a friend volunteered to drive I didn't know if I should drive my lotus or my Bentley! The private jet is in the shop so thank goodness my friend is driving

I'd guess it will be much admired, and you'll have to answer many questions about it!

If you don't plan on getting in and out of it all weekend you could get a car cover if you're worried about it getting tagged

It's not a terribly big car. Pack a big enough tent to garage it. Or, trade maestro for the Lotus and it will definitely fit in the tent.

I don't think a Porsche roadster is going to do too well navigating the dirt roads of primitive camping. If you don't want to bottom out just park it at the entrance & get someone with a golf cart to give you & your gear a ride into the bowels of the park.

No, it's Suburbans that are hated by the enviro-elites.
I should be the one worried.
You're okay, everyone loves Porches.

First a question. Can you pack enough camping gear into a 2 seater Porsche to do it up?

Second a suggestion. Drive on down and when you get to the Jacksonville area park it and rent a econo for the weekend.

Third an observation. maestro do you practice being snarky or does it just come natural? A guy asks a question and all you've got is some mocking s#%t about Bentleys and private jets? Really? Thanks for contributing.

I guess I'm guilty of joking too. It's my nature.
BTW, I started driving the Suburban exclusively instead of the Civic last week, so the planet can warm up for Wanee.
