Well, you know I'd take the bait and run with it. First, I think there are several parentheses missing which would render the problem even more hideous and which are necessary for order of operations. So let's try this:

(3y/

(9-3y) / (y2-3y+2

)/

(y2-4y+3) * ((y-2)2)/2y

Anyway, the answer is -(y-2)/2

The simplified version of the problem looks like this (like you care):

3y *(y2-4y+3) * (y-2)2

------------------------

(9-3y) * (y2-3y+2) * 2y

Then you factor it:

3y * (y-3) * (y-1) * (y-2) * (y-2)

---------------------------------

-3 * (y-3) * (y-1) * (y-2)

So easy a Cro-Magnon could do it!
