Col Bruce show was good !!
Derek Trucks took the weekend for me...along with ABB.
Even tho i like Arc Angels, the shine seemed to wear off over the years....still enjoyed the show, but it wasn't what i saw years ago.

Although I read the review of the Doobie Bros linked on the Wanee Forum and so hoped they'd be good, their energy, talent and the fact that they seemed to be having a really good time is a real highlight. Pamela wasn't that into seeing them, thinking "casino/lounge act by now", but she was majorly surprised by how good they were. Four very good vocals, and great guitar work! Otherwise, the fest seemed to be well managed and without a hitch as far as I can tell, so satisfaction all around!

I am not sure surprised is the right word, but Buddy Guy amazed me. I expected him to be impressive, but at his age did not expect the showmanship he had along with his music.

Grace Potter did it for me! She rocked that mushroom stage.

Now that just sounds bad. :) Let me clarify - we were all out of lunch meat before Marky wandered into the campsite on Thursday night. LOL!

Post Re: Who surprised you the most?
Doobies for sure were my biggest surprise. I pretty much expected a limping trip through the greatest hits, and a few people I asked felt the same. One even laughed when I asked if they were any good. Those same people were not laughing by the time their set was 1/2 hour in. And we agreed, even thier new song they played was TIGHT!

And a bit surprised by Mule. Not surprised I loved 'em, but every time I see them I'm a bit more indoctrinated. Each time I like them more I'm kinda surprised I do. Do they really just keep getting that much better every year?

Over the past 5 years I have gone from being a non-Mule fan (not a hater but compared to my other Warren experiences I liked that embodyment less), to being a semi-fan where I looked forward to seeing them, schedule permitting...to being a rabid fan. I feel like an addict...I'm shaking knowing they aren't swinging down through FL again any time soon and entertaining crazy ideas of travel to get me some more Mule.
