I am thinking about going to Sunshine Blues Fest. Can anyone tell me if it is Kid Friendly? To elaborate a bit. I bring my boys to every Mag and Springfest at SOSMP, but I would NEVER bring them to Wanee. I know they need a ticket, but I dont know the atmosphere. Im leaning towards the St. Pete show.

THE NEW MASTERSOUNDS
With special guest Roosevelt Collier
ORGONE
MONOPHONICS
Underbelly’s, Jacksonville
January 2, 2014

This is NOT the review, and, actually, my pieces/blogs/articles are really just cheerleading! It is altruistic and selfish all at the same time. I certainly want to help wonderful musicians reach a wider audience, but it IS selfish, because I tell myself if I don’t help spread the word that many of these bands might just… disband.

I will get a full review written tomorrow, but here is the teaser short version:

Kelly Finnigan and Monophonics can belt the soul with anybody. ANY. BODY.

Tim Blum put on one the greatest bass performances I’ve ever heard in skyrocketing every Orgone tune last night. Uplifting.

The New Mastersounds get so locked into a tune at times you’d swear they’ve done the Vulcan mind-meld. And Eddie Roberts is a genius. The entire trip from Tampa was worth it just to hear Roberts rip for ten minutes on “Morning Fly,” the second tune of the set. And Simon Allen’s time is remarkable.

More to come. Everyone on the cruise have a wonderful, safe trip!

It seemed very kid-friendly to me last year. I saw tons running around at the back of the park. There is a lot of play room and places for parents to stretch out the blanket and still enjoy the music.

Tonight. Taking my 14 year old son to see Gregg & Devon in Clearwater. It will be his second concert (first was a Bon Jovi shown my wife got tickets for).
