As I tell my students, you can get a great education at (almost) any school. You may have to find the right department or college, but good learning is available for everyone. You just need to embrace it and make it yours.

So true, I went back to school at 44 years old. It was a whole lot different this time around. My first major in the 1980 was "Party 101" but I progressed quickly through the program. :roll:

Absolutely true. I was also in Party 101 (I don't remember seeing you, but I DID skip a lot!).

A year or so later, I took some teaching classes and approached it all VERY differently. Six years after that, I took the remaining courses need for my teaching certificate, and I was a model student. Well, more or less. But great grades. I was lucky to get out with a degree the first time! Classes kept interfering with my spending time at the radio stations on campus.
