Good choice. The ones I listed were pretty much the ones I'd want to see. If I go to WP/ABB in Houston in October, will likely skip voodoo, which I've never been to, started after I left N.O. I'd probably like to see and thus find out more about Flaming Lips, Wolfmother (is that right? A young cousin goes on about them), and a few others...but not Eminem and several others. I wish I had gone last year. My wife's a fan of Devotchka, who played 2008.

yea wolfmother is real good. Good old fashion hard rock, not metal, rock and roll. Ive got their self titled cd and its full on from start to finish. Flaming lips are a good concert; strange doesn't even begin to describe them as they are, from what i can remember, tripper-friendly band in every sense of the word. Ive been to voodoo a couple times and its fun but sometimes they dont pull thru on the artist in my opinion, case in point, this year. Save my money for ABB/WP. Love to catch another mule show, but i wont be home when they are within 12 hrs of where i ,live.

so as not to be completely off topic, get Peter Green for next year. Hell dig Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwain up and steal McVie and Fleetwood from Stevie's crazy ass and lets get us some old REAL Fleetwood Mac going.

i think jeremy went off the deep end with psychedelics and joined a religious cult back in the late 60s/early 70s. Not real sure. Peter green would be a dream

If you're in the French Quarter on a hot afternoon (in other words, anytime in the next 3 months), stop at Mona Lisa's and order a Pimm's Cup. You'll probably order a 2nd.

Peter Green would be awesome, was recently wondering if he was playing. Kudos to my wife for long ago turning me on to the earlist Mac material.

Happy saturday all, gonna be well over 100 here again, so the lawn can wait or, really just die, I've got Fillmore East on, fingering my Epi Les paul in fantasyland..

The subdudes!! This is what Gregg said about them in an interview on Tahoe.com:
Q — What new music do you like?

A — New. Hmmm. Well, I just got turned on to these guys called the Subdudes. I just got their first album that came out in '94. Man, they are kick ass. They've got three other ones they've put out and I've never really heard of them, but this girl that I know I was over to her house. I heard it and said “Man, what is that? It's big band, all black guys and, wow, they're incredible.

Gregg got a few of the details wrong; they're five white guys, mostly from New Orleans. But they are kick ass.
