We thought about doing Magnaball but are probably going to do Atlanta for both nights instead because we live in FL and it is just way easier. I probably would have been in favor of going to Magnaball provided there were something, anything really as far as other acts to see or things to do. Did superball and a couple other Phish fests at the glen and it was a lot of fun but kind of lacking in the sense that during the day there was not much to do and after the show ends no late night or anything. Just a bunch of hissing noises
The camping is ok, plenty of room but the shade spots are limited and the facilities were a bit questionable at times. All in all catching phish at the glen is a must do for any fan, the stage will be unreal. You complained about the Wanee glam camping, wait til you see Phish's
I just really wish Phish were not such sticklers for playing exclusive shows and open up the festival as a bit of a platform for some up and coming jambands, give some young guys like twiddle or someone of the likes a chance to play a couple sets during the day or something. Help make sure when Phish dies off there are some quality bands to keep the legacy of jam music alive. Have a late night show or something.
I would say it is well worth the trip for any Phish fan but Phish at the glen has never really exceeded my expectations from a festival perspective, but they were some really awesome Phish shows.
