Chick Corea & Béla Fleck...

They were incredible when we saw them last fall in Clearwater!

Except for the guy behind me who laughed at EVERYTHING! ????

They did have a little shtick..banter...old man humor.
(Chic found himself quite amusing.)
But the music was great!

No. This guy was laughing at clever little musical passages! I could see once or three times, but it was DOZENS!

Ron Holloway. <edit> He can do ANYTHING.

Guess who showed up at the Funky Biscuit last night?? Mr Ron! :D

He sat in with the Biscuit Allstars, which was supposed to have George Porter guiding the ship, but unfortunately George was called back to N.O. yesterday for a family emergency. So Kilmo filled in... Add in Billy Iuso, and Roosevelt Collier, and dang they were quite a funky badass outfit. I can confirm that Ron Holloway can do ANYTHING. What a killer player!

Then the Suspects stepped up. They started the set with Mean Willie Green doing a drum solo  , which morphed into a lil' street parade bit with the rest of the guys on percussion, taking their positions. Dayum! They played a nice long set... eventually Billy, and Ron, and Roosevelt all stepped back up for a Funk THROWDOWN to close the set.

Awfully tough to beat the N.O. riddim section of Willie, with 25+ years drumming for the Nevilles, and Reggie Scanlan, 30+ years with the legendary Radiators. And with Jeff Watkins, they have now stepped up another couple levels.

Go see the Suspects. They got some great new material, and they are tighter than Miley Cyrus' G-string :ugeek:

That is my story, and I am sticking with it!

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and CopE were superb last night at the Skipperdome in Tampa! Review to follow.

AND...

BABY SAM arrived this morning at 9:43. He and my daughter are doing well and get to go home this afternoon! I will have photographic evidence. Grandchild #2!

My son and DIL have a 6-year-old daughter. My DIL was in town to assist, AND it was her birthday yesterday also! There is a great photo on my phone of my granddaughter holding my grandson! Many thanks!

Nice Shirt. Its like you're formal, but you still like to party.

Oh and the kid's cute too!

It's a good shirt to wear to school on Friday. I do long-sleeve shirt and tie M-Th, but I just cannot dress down for Friday. This is my compromise.
