Post My husband "the Dude who fell near the E campsite corner.
This was our first time experience at Wanee, words simply cannot explain the most amazing time we had! This will not be our last, by experience we will be better prepared. We drove up in a RV rental hoping to get full hookup. But all was well we drove around for about 45 minutes, propped ourself (middle of the night) in the right place! We met so many wonderful new friends.
My husband was the "dude" who fell after the first night of hearing the Allman Brothers Band. We were quite a far distance (aproxx 2 miles) from the peach stage. Being first timers we made our own trial to get there in a safe distance for my husband. He has congestive heart failure. very weak has trouble breathing due to fluid retention. Mark had a heart attack during a minor non invasive surgery. since then his health has taken a drastic turn for the worse. His walking distance diminishes with exertion. Needless to say, by the end of the show he could not walk more than 5 steps before feeling pain on his heart. by the time we made it to the E section he lost consciousness, he was out of it for at least 5 minutes. Going to the Wanee festival with our 21 year old son is on his "bucket list" of things to do before he dies. I thought oh s#%t this is it! Thank God he is still alive and well! I wish we could connect with some of the "good people" who helped my husband, loved us with genuine acts of kindness. Becky

I dont know how I missed this earlier. I am the guy who gave you a ride to the stage in my golf cart on Saturday. Unfortunately it was your last trip into the Venue and I wasn't able to help more. Next year If you guys make it just let me know where you are camped and I will gladly shuttle you around. Maybe my cart wont have such a piece of crap back seat by then. I hope you get this.

I second nickyler's offer. I have a handicapped cart that I bring to the festival just for helping people that are in need. Please check in here BEFORE you go next time and line up some rides. There is plenty of assistance available.

EDIT- Whoops! Didnt know this was an old post. Hope she checks back in...

Sad to hear this and hope your husband feels better. You should check in special persons camping (RV full hookup) right out side the side gate left of the Peach stage. 90 days after the festival you can reserve a site. I would do it as soon as possible because they go quick. Hope to see you guys there next year and make it to our Meet & Greet. Healing Vibes sent your way :!: :D

Didn't see this one either :!: :(
