Proceeds from this event go to helping local oyster bed restoration efforts. It's a Party with a Purpose.

On a river island there were around 180 humans (4 SOS/BOS).
It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday!
RSB did three shows in twenty four hours, they were in overdrive!

Anything to help the oysters is ok by me.

Why is it named Halifax? That makes me think of Nova Scotia more than Fla. And they have some tasty oysters up that way too.

The portion of the intercoastal in the Daytona area is named the Halifax River:

Spain ceded Florida to the British in 1763, in exchange for Cuba, at the end of the Seven Years War/French and Indian War. Britain then divided the territory into East Florida and West Florida, and gave out many land grants to encourage settlers. During the survey of these land grants, the Halifax River received its name in honor of Lord Halifax, who was the British President of the Board of Trade.

Great to see the Lightman and his beautiful wife to be! Great times, and great music, and I'm grateful!
