Jensen B mentioned some headliner named Al K. Hall. I've never seen him, exactly, but I'll bet it'll be great.

But seriously, obviously I would love to have WSMFP headline, although I know there are some opposed. However, all of the other acts we count on (TTB, Mule, Jaimoe, perhaps Greg & BFFs) would make it a great time.

I know they are not big enough YET to carry it, but many would tell you that Umphrey's McGee owned the festival last year.

Same way they owned Bear Creek a couple years back.

Al K. Hall starts out great but gets a little fuzzy at the end :?

I heard that he can barely stand up at the end and often cannot finish the "show."

I've heard that weird obstacles (coolers, chairs, etc) pop up at a lot of their shows....and they can be hazardous....especially to folks who have a higher center of gravity (freaky tall people).

I would disagree with that statement. I liked their late night set, but their regular set was just OK in my opinion. I know the youngsters love em (Im actually on the younger end myself but thats irrelevant), but they arent really my cup of tea anymore. And they are no where near the level of headlining a major festival. Ive been hearing for damn near 10 years now how Umphreys was gonna rise to the level of solo show amphitheater tours and festival headliners and its just never panned out. They are super talented, and I respect them a ton as musicians, but I dont think they will ever rise to that level.

I saw him late, late Friday night at MagFest, and he was outstanding. But he wasn't worth a damn the next morning - took him until early afternoon to get into the flow again.

True, but Griffin Anthony already owns the afternoon slots.
