I always miss the good stuff!

ok so i'm bumping this back up to the top so i can finish reading these Golden stories when i get to work( gonna be a productive night lol) an add a few of me my crews from the original ROO"s

Had to be at last years Wanee i was down at peach stage..I was just hitting my peak i looked and saw John Popper riding up the hill to musicians entrance ..I told my buddy look man its biggie John popper and took off running up the hill like some idiot..the time i got to him i was out of breath i did not know what to say he said "hey how are ya"..i said fine and walked away man i felt stupid his buddies that were with him laughed and i heard John say "Now that guy is in for a long day....my buddy still picks on me and brings it up about how i took off up the hill like a girl and had nothing to say...OH WHAT DOES THIS YEAR HAVE IN STORE!!!!

Another memory from last year...

I camped on Lower River Rd. near the shower house.
When we got storms on Thursday (I think) I was sitting and drinking coffee watching it rain. Just as the rain quit, we got one last gust of wind and CRACK!, a tree limb fell down on the hybrid trailer next to me. It collapsed the tent portion of the trailer and also landed on the truck in front of it.

No major damage, but it could have been worse! Not more than 5 minutes before, omeone was just sleeping in the spot the limb landed in.

Park maintenance was there no more than 5 minutes later, removed the limb, cut it up with a chain saw. and hauled it away.
They had my respect that day!

I remember seeing that. Wow. Someone was under where that limb fell? How lucky they moved when they did!

Yeah! Scared the wizz outa me!
I heard SNAP! Thump!
I couldn't react fast enough to even get out of my chair!

Mine was Wanee 2010. It was wednesday at the kick off party at the barn stage, i was with my two friends and was jamming along to the music. i started feeling a little faint and seeing dark patches everywhere. Before I could move and sit down I faceplanted straight down. My friends said I fell like a friggin' tree. dirt all over my face and a good size bruise. The best part was this awesome hippy chic in front of me that gave me her water and then told me ITS ONLY WEDNESDAY! gotta make it through the weekend. My buddies still hound me about it and I'm sure I'll hear that story a dozen more time at Wanee 2012.

I got another one...

My 2nd Wanee, 2010, I was watching a very cool GH cover band @ the Engine Barn. I was pretty tuned... Not quite crab walking, but close.

This hippy chick was toting a young girl with her in a wagon.
Tot and mom were bigger people...

The tot got out of the wagon, spread her arms and yelled, Hug Me!
I smiled and squatted down spread out my arms; and this kid runs and tackles me, knocked me on my ass like she was playing fullback for the Steelers!

Stupid me, the kid does this 3 more time during the course of the night. Nice hugs though! Mom must of thought I was a perv!



Oh well...
