I have never been to Wanee before and would like to inquire if it would be an appropriate venue to bring a 5 year old for the weekend. I've been to many festivals up north and some are great and some not so great for kids. Just moved to the SE so I don't know a whole bunch about the music scene in FLA. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of folks are bringing their kids. It's safe, but you have to be very careful because you never know with a big crowd and there are a lot of middle aged drunks stumbling around.

If you can't get a baby sister and bringing the kid is a last resort, I would say OK.

If these airhead people that wanted me to buy them tics..don't come thru I might just bring the 16yr old bookworm, and the 13yr old don't know if the 18yrold will babysit but they are certified with the redcross and have had child care courses and experiences thru the YMCA, have been saved myself as I started choking on a chokewrap at tacohell and they did the heimlic sp manuevor and saved me, I was so scared but they have had to do that more than once(I might be getting MS) The oldest one also did ROTC training but she hurt her back snow boarding accident not once but twice with the church group and now I kinda try to keep her on the ground both times she was hit by another boarder and once knocked unconcious they called me from NC at a hospital I was freaking out ..but thank god she is OK I think? I was complaining to her where is that expensive snow jacket I had just bought, she said that they had to cut it off of her She is studing radiology in college right now wanted to be an artist she is good but steered her towards medicine...anyhow I will know more if they are all going soon I will let you know if interested in having them help or sit with kids they don't sass others just me...
