I'm not much on camping but I love the Arc Angels. You guys that aren't familiar with them are in for a real treat!

Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton. That Sexton and Doyle had a real good band going. You didn't see much of them after 93 of coarse but they left a lasting impression on me. I last saw them in June of 92. Guess they played on occasion in 2002 if you lived in the Texas area.

Rumors persist in 2009 that they will release a new CD and reunite for a major tour. They will definitely be performing together at Austin's annual South by Southwest Music Festival in March 2009, and at the 5th annual Wanee Festival at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida June 5&6, 2009.

HAHAHAHAHA i find this so funny cause I wikipedia'd them also. A decade later after headlining the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin three of the original members, Doyle Bramhall, Charlie Sexton and Chris Layton have decided to reunite, release a new Live CD/DVD, tour extensively and ultimately record a new full length studio album in 2009.

I'm bummed there's no Tommy but will have to deal and am still really looking forward to catching this!

In 1982 when SRV released Texas Flood, i told my wife that this guy was going to be "somebody big".....I got to see Stevie 8 of the 9 times he played in Atlanta ( missed the show with Jeff Beck ,,dammit )....
after his painful passing, i was very stoked to see Chris and Tommy go on to eventually play with Doyle and Charlie and form Arc Angels...
got to see AA play at a very small club downtown (i'll look for ticket stub,,i know where it is ,,ha ) and was blown away.
i sure hope they are lubed up and ready by the time they hit wanee..... thanks for the heads up Susea,,,,i got the iClips email right after reading your post.
