Post Re: Stories from Wanee 2009...
it's the most,,wonderful time,,,of the year,,,,Merry Christmas folks!!!

C. Brown

C. Brown wakes from bed
Brushes his teeth and he combs his head for school
Out the door and down the street
Down to the corner and a bus and some friends that he's supposed to meet
But there, not to his surprise
His friends have gone and they've told C a lie

But you can walk on with me
You don't even need to say a word
You don't have to worry about the others

I C (see) him and he runs up fast
Kicks at the air his friends watch him fall and then laugh
Charlie really likes his friends
But in his heart he knows that sometimes a dog is as good as any man
Trying to do as we should
That doesn't always rhyme with doing what feels good

But you can sit in the grass; it feels good
You don't even need to think a word
You don't have to worry, don't worry

Charlie there is drawing a gun
Right there in the square he's sketched Lucy on the run
Aims his eye, cocks his head
In a cloud of dust, dear old Lucy's gone
Charlie's only trying the golden rule
Draw unto others as they have been drawn to you

And you can walk on home with me
You don't even need to think a word
You don't have to worry...

My favorite memory of last year was this guy giving me crap (yeah Marky that would be you) for hosting a ticket give away based on how the karma of it all felt. Well the tickets did get given away. And despite the ribbing I took, Carson Daly and Karma survived. The guy who got the tickets could never have afforded to go to the show on his own and this was his present for he and his wife. Was a really good hearted guy and was traveling with some good hearted people. Met him at the little store there across the street. He traveled a long way to get those tickets without knowing if I was for real or not. We had never met before the show and he had several people promise him tickets only to back out at the last minute. Funny thing is, like most of Wanee, these were people who would never have socialized with me outside of Wanee and I most likely would not have socialized with them either. The other part of it was that this spurned other ticket giveaways here on the forum. Most likely I will do it again this year. Make fun of it all you want, but karma did rule and saw to it that the most deserving were there....

FU asshole... I gave you crap because you promised the ticket to someone else (my friend) and then turned around and re-nigged on the deal. That makes you a dick and you were the one talking about the karma bulls#%t. And as far as the socializing thing, no wonder you didn;t show your face when you knew where everyone was gonna be and the person you gave the tiket to didn;t want to hang out wit you and I'll bet there is a reason for that... and I already said it you are a dick... giving away tickets just to try to pick up chicks... And as far as the other ticket giveaway that was done, it was performed by my friend Andie, a genuine kind person, to a person who had actually helped someone else and couldn;t afford the ticket for that reason. That person was given the ticket on the count of their kind concern for another who had been injured.
You and I are gonna have some serious issues if you keep on doing your comments in my threads and posts.
And one last thing.... that is your best story from last years fest.

Keep giving away tickets and maybe some day someone will turn out to be your friend. Good luck with that.

 :? :o
