Post blue sky
The brothers dont seem to play this song much at all it seems. Ive got a couple shows with them jamming it a little bit, but its rare and they never sing the words. Is it because its a dickey song and he has the rights to it or do they just not do it alot. It is one of my favorite songs they did and i would love to hear it come back into rotation.

It is Dickey's song, Ramblin' Man is another one they don't do anymore. But they still do "Liz Reed" and "Jessica" which are Dickey tunes too but they are istrumentals. I think Gregg just dosen't want to sing BS and RM. Maybe it's just repect for him, I don't know. I miss them in the rotation too that is why I go see Dickey's band when they tour but now he says he is done so I was glad to catch them last year.

Post Re: blue sky
Just a nice memory. Spring 2009 I made my first trip to Macon, what a great day. Greg Potter gave me a tour of the Big House (under construction), of course I visited Duane and Barry, then lunch at M&M Diner, with the walls covered mostly with ABB posters, pictures, paintings. There was jukebox but no one had gone near it when right as I sat down to eat, Blue Sky came on the jukebox. Nice moment. Oh and the lunch -- two huge fried porkchops, lima beans, rice and gravy, cornbread and iced tea. Bought a couple of shirts, too, paid with debit card and when I went to add the tip the gentleman at the counter stopped me, saying, "Mama don't allow no tip." I highly recommend it (as long as my doctor isn't on this forum!).

peace
greg
