Hey-This is my first Wanee and I will be flying in. What is the best way to gear up for camping? Trying to check eveything in luggage would be tough. Should I just plan on buying new stuff once I am down there (Maybe a walmart is close?) and then just leaving it there??? That would suck but if it would still be cheaper that if I was renting a hotel room somewhere. Can't wait. Thanks for the advice....

Walmart is about 5 miles south of campground.

I have flown into a festival before and figured out the easiest way to have your essentials is to ship it ground ahead of time. This is relatively cheap compared to extra baggage charges. I bet you could ship your things right to the park office if you asked them:) Just a thought...

Maybe you could talk to the cool cosmic peeps at Camp Cosmic about borrowing some stuff.....there's a thread about them and they're also on facebook. I'm flying in too and plan on borrowing some stuff from a friend in JAX and getting whatever else at Walmart. And then....maybe sharing a little with my new Wanee Friends
