Re: How To Mark Tent Space
Hello B&SOS. I rely on all of these ideas from my fellow festival campers & landmark my way back to camp As JoNNo said in the pit-stop thread: I love the walk and all the very cool people and very cool sites along the way as i make my journey through the woods and to the music. I love being amongst the ppl and getting thick in the dancing crowd, but i love it when i can go back to a mellow, slower traffic camp. This is part of the adventure of Wanee with last year being pitch black with a New Moon the Wed of the fest. This year will be the opposite with a waxing Full Moon. Get ready for some full moon after-parties.

Re: How To Mark Tent Space
we always do the xmas lights and laterns too, but what i found most effective is parking car where headlights are towards the stage areas and just get close, then hit the alarm button to flash the lights to guide us back to our temp home...

Re: How To Mark Tent Space
Get a good baloon from walmart or wherever and tie it to the top of your tent. Or get any kinda pole and put something on top of it that is a marker/beacon.
Always carry a flashlight!!! Cannot stress this enough at night.

Re: How To Mark Tent Space
I rely on others near me to have a something unique. At a smaller festie in 2008 one of friends brought his huge Chinese flag (he moved to the US when he was in middle school) and we never had a problem finding our tent. Just don't see too many 4x6 foot Chinese flags flying 25 feet above a tent now days...
EDIT: I also have several small headlamps i use if it gets really dark and i can't find my way. They are really small and will run for a whil eon 2 AAA batteries. Energizer makes some for 10$. Def. worth the investment, i think i own 4.

^^^^ that would make it easier finding your way home in the dark.

I like the panic button idea Thats one cool thing about no trees at Broo. There is always some lit up thing in the sky, like the purple octapus,or the big giant ball with the light in it.I just look in the sky and go to the one closet to camp.

Ever see a flashing Antelope crossing flag at 'Roo? No particular reason I would ask. thought I saw one once.
