Yesterday a guy caught a record breaker 1060 lb+ hammerhead shark ...big sucker he was!!! So better check with someone before you go in the water as this was a monster...not kidding either!!! This one was caught off of BOCA GRANDE (Port Charolte which is on the southwest side of the coast...not too far from me! ) The current record is a 650# caught in TX... This is also national Melanoma month..... Wear sunglasses too to protect your eyes !! PLEASE don't grease up you peeps from up north...and Keep those KIDS covered in SPF the highest you can get...you sometimes don't realize that you are burning to a crisp until the sun goes down....then OUCH!!! Been there and I live here...just a reminder as my Lizzy is helping the humans now with the vaccine for Melanoma....Also, read that if you bring little kids they should NOT have DEET over 10% on them...not sure why but it might make them sick...so just use your common sense...and have a blast! Peace all and safe travels...and also the GOV just signed a new law yesterday regarding SEATBELTS....NOW the heat CAN pull you over for not being buckled up !!! Besides they do save lives...I am proof of that one!!!

They always get huge sharks in Boca Grande, When they have the tarpon tournament, which is soon, they have hammerheads coming up and biting a 100 lb tarpon in half. I am not swimming in Boca!

I love seeing beach aerial photos here on the west coast of Florida during the summer. Sharks are all over up close to the beach and swimmers do not even realize it.

Thats why I swim in a pool watch for the gators tho!!
