My parents tell me it was the Police and I went around signing roxanne for weeks....
But the first one I remember is B.B. King at the South Florida Fair.

Aww man! You really want me to give away how old I am!
My ‘first time’ was in 67 to see the Strawberry Alarm Clocks open for the Beach Boys. I had to hitchhike to the show….I was 14 or 15.

 Re: Your First Concert?
Mike was Black Oak Arkansas at The Palladium in Manhattan, I am guessing it was about 1974 or 1975. Get this, my grandmother brought me, and a friend there on the subway and my Dad picked us up when it was over. I was 13 or 14 at the time, we were in the front row and my friend caught the drummers stick when he threw into the audience...I will never forget that night. I wonder how many teens would be able to do something like that now?

 Re: Your First Concert?
Mine was 1978 Aerosmith/Golden Earring at the Capital Center in Landover, Maryland. I do save all my ticket stubs but over the years moving around the country a few were lost. One year I think it was 1997 I put them spread out over a table in all different ways (upside down, long ways ect...) about 250 and took a 35mm picture of them. I was going to make a poster of them but I moved to Orlando and saw the film again. I still saved them since then maybe I'll try to do it again, I got about 150 more since 1997.

 Re: Your First Concert?
Willie Nelson, when I was pretty young, early 80's (I'm 33 now). He was at a fair somewhere on the East coast of FL and I was with my parents.
First concert I went to on my own- Metallica, in high school.
I save all my ticket stubs, but have also lost some over the years. I keep them in a stained glass box my sister made me but will be putting them (and guitar pics, etc.) in a frame of some sort and hanging them in my man cave.

Hey Kevhic, We used to see Hot Tuna on Long Island at a place called The Suffolk Forum, I remember ( somewhat ) those 4 and 5 hour shows!!! Also saw Zappa many times during those Halloween Show, A couple of times we went to both the early and Midnight shows!!! That was hardcore!!!!! Remember how the halloween Midnight show was THE show to be at....Small world, Might have even bumped into you sometime in the past and hope to bump into you at Wanee!!!! And yes I had that album too, We used to play it over and over, It was one of the first rock albums I had, from there it went on to Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper as I recall!!!! Mike
