Post New to the Wanee Festival-quick question
:D We are coming to the festival for the first timw-a group of about 10 of us. we have reserved sites #32 & 33. I cannot figure out where the heck the actually are since the map I have on line is virtually unreadable! (Yes, I may have a vision issue by my 13 year old couldn't see it either. ) Is this a good area? Any comments of input/advice? I searched the forum and couldn't find any other map other than the google one which was very cool but not defined enough. Also, will there be a store close by to restock beer & water/firewood, etc.?

Thank you so much for any advice or help you can offer!
Peace!
:D Lisa

Welcome!!!!

Take a look here http://www.wanee.dougheaton.com/wanee_maps.html where I took the SOSMP map and blew it up (bottom map). If it is "loop camping" then slide to the right and you should see it.

Also - the google map you looked at - check http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8& ... 06845&z=17 for info also. Firewood is available on site and the google map has info about liquid fun refills.

It is good. You have lots of neighbors here on the board and the wife and I stay at horse camping regularly. It is "prime real-estate" if you ask me.

The SOSMP map doesn't show HC numbers as good as it does the Loop ones. Let me work on the google map a bit more and see if the details can be improved for you and everyone else.

We are really excited! We are a group of old friends from high school and college who have been going to see the Allman Bros. and WP since the late 80s. Yes, we are of the fortysomething demographic! All of us are really looking forward to hanging out and Havin a Good Time! We will have a big flag with the word US on it-stop by and say hello! :D
