Post inquiry to last year's attendees or any Wanee Veterans
Hi. I have for so long wanted to go to the Wanee Festival....
I am a lot older than my days watching the Allmans in Piedmont Park or any of the other music festivals in my past.
Would anybody care to please tell me how they have had the best time:
sound stage, comfort, sleeping arrangements, VIP passes, or anything else you would kindly recommend?
I appreciate the response.

Many great people here to answer your questions and please be sure to check out the viewtopic.php?f=2&t=441 thread for some great info.

Thanks for the replies. I read the threads as well.
RV vs. Tent ?
( I am female, own a decent tent that is not well-ventilated, with a Chevy Avalanche to drive), but how safe is it if I have to go alone?
I used to take my now 17 year-old son camping. We joined other friends, but it was a small crowd, totally safe and there WERE showers.
Again, appreciate the info.

Once you get there you won't be alone. Lots of nice people to hang out with.

Do I need to find an R.V. for safety or is it safe in a tent?

I wouldn't worry about safety at all. Hell, I don't worry about safety every year at Bonnaroo.

There are showers at Wanee too (in case you didn't pick up on that).

No, I didn't pick up on the fact that there are showers there. I wasn't sure....I once was in Everglades National Park camping and there were no showers at our site. When a huge thunderstorm came in around 4 AM, I ran out of my tent, threw off all my clothes and let the rain get all the bug spray off of me!
Now, I am smarter and older and know how to ask ahead of time what the facilities are like.
It does sound that an RV or camper is the way to go, especially if I want to be there from Thursday on....
