[quote="atlanta hippie"]Last year we prepared for June HEAT & GIANT flying blood sucking bugs. What will the night average temps be? I am thinking a pair of sweats will be welcomed early am on the way to the showers. Any vets got the 411 on needed coverage?
 :?: :D

:D I grew up about 35 miles north of SOSMP, in Valdosta Ga., and, typically, in mid-April, it'll be perfect during the day. You might want longsleeved tees, or, sweatshirts, at night. I too am in Atlanta, right now, and, as of today, you just KNOW it'll be better than this s#%t ! ( rainy, and 39 F ) :(

I was So prepared for the bloodsuckers, that I wore an electronic key chain that kept the bugs off me, had one in my tent too. I saw one skeeter! Of course it might have been hard for them to fly in the rain.

Thanks for all the info.

I live in Live Oak and attended the Suwannee River Jam last year during the middle of April and it was hot as balls during the day!! It cooled down at night into the 50's, I would expect this year to be no different unless there is rain, basically North FL in April is your 80-50 split. Shorts during the day, something a lil warmer at night, should be great camping weather though. Just remember, April showers bring May flowers.
