Post Re: food vendors question
i'm confused...ha,,again,,
but are you talking about the vendors "inside" the festival grounds or the surrounding local area??
i took it as vendors at the fest....

if so, they have the S.O.S. Cafe which is where they did karaoke on wednesday night last year(man i had no business in there that night but i blame my friend Wallace, long story)
they have a variety of food...cannot tell you what i had to eat or quality,,so i fail that one(blame Wallace)
they also have another Cafe/Bar (someone help me on the name of it??please) but i have yet to eat or drink there.they have an outside patio and i hear they are good.
around the festival the vendors are Mellow Mushroom pizza as mentioned and they are awesome IMO,,great crust!
they have an asian/chinese flare booth that has egg rolls, chicken on a stick, rice, sweet and sour concoctions,,,
there are vendors with Gyro's, felafels,bbq,burgers,hot dogs,fries,funnel cakes,ice cream,lemonade,grilled cheese,a vegetarian booth,,and i'm sure i'm leaving a few out......
this is awful because i say visit the vendors!!!,,but i rarely find myself eating too much except back at the camp....

hope this helps.

Sure, everything helps! I was originally speaking about vendors in the festival, but since I'll be coming from the airport in JAX, I'm all for stopping by a little road side market too.

No, I'll head over there and read about the peanuts.

The honey, I'll end up eating that with a spoon.

If you're a honey fan I'll bring you some from a farm in the Bronx that I volunteer at. They make honey there and they'll take it right out of the comb for you when you come. It's the best honey I've ever had.

OK, the boiled peanuts sounds like something I need to put on the list.

Also, someone mentioned something called Cracklin' and said I should try the old-fashioned version rather than the commercial stuff that's found in stores.

I've looked it up and understand it's pork rinds, basically.

Mmmmmmm... Pork rinds

If you're very quiet when you eat them, you can actually hear your heart valves slamming shut
