DAN HICKS AND THE HOT LICKS I don't usually wear cd's out like I have with this one- I download live stuff constantly and always listen to new shows and stuff, but this new album by Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks is amazingly good. It's called Tangled Tales - check it out!
I wish they'd get Dan Hicks to play Wanee or Magfest sometime - they're just awesome.

I bought this album not long after it came out four years ago, and it has rarely left my cd-changer since. Cool" -original drummer for em, yeah They were recently on World Cafe live- check it out, awesome show: http://www-cdn.npr.org/templates/story/ ... =102934873they do a lot of songs from the new album, Tangled Tales. THey just keep getting better, this album is a favorite of mine. I love the Blues My Naughty Baby Gave Me. Grisman is on it - on the album. It's a swing era song. Some of these songs they'd been doing in concert for a while before putting out the album.

I've got a lot of his records, most all of em, burned onto cd. The Dog Secrets album's a favorite
