Post A Paul Or Two At Bonnaroo
McCartney & Simon

Heavy Vegas money is saying two guys old enough to be the great-grandfathers 0f 97% of the attendees at Bonnaroo will be headlining two nights this summer.

And people thought Springsteen looked old and out of place last year!

i'd rather see mcartney or paul simon 2395820958625986 times before seeing springsteen

if 70,000 people yelling "BOOOOO" when he came out with phish wasn't a wake up call for bonnaroo than i don't know what is

bonnaroo seemed so cool when i was 20 and first went. i don't know if it's always sucked and i just didn't realize it or if it's gradually gotten lamer and lamer over the past 8 or 9 years

some girls i was dancing next to one year asked me, "why does this mud smell like poop?"

because it is poop

Bonnaroo was great the first 3 years. The 2nd Bonaroo was one of the best times I have ever had. The 4th year it started to change. I quit going after that. I don't think I would go now if someone gave me a free ticket. I understand what they are trying to do by combining genres and bringing all music together, but I personally prefer to stick with festivals with my kind of ppl and my kind of music, thank you very much. But I will always cherish my Bonnaroo memories :P

You have to understand the climate though. It was hot as hell. There were 1000s of people pumped to see him...and he came on stage probably an hour+ late. People had missed whole other sets to see him, and it kind of screwed up a lot of people's plans.

I actually think I left a few songs into it to be honest.

I love Bonnaroo...Why all the negativity here?

I'm not hating on Bonaroo - I've been to 5 of them. I'm hating on James Brown, and his late ass. Maybe his Gov't Mule held him back.

Same here. I remember thinking his show looked so rehersed that it was the same thing you have seen on TV a hundred times. And honestly if ya can't be on time (or at least within 15-20 mins) at a festival where people have their schedules tightly planned then you deserve a little booing. No disrespect to James Brown intended. Bob Dylan did the same thing. He was 45 mins late getting started.
