everyone's definitely entitled to their own opinions but come on, james brown?

You have to understand the climate though. It was hot as hell. There were 1000s of people pumped to see him...and he came on stage probably an hour+ late. People had missed whole other sets to see him, and it kind of screwed up a lot of people's plans.

I actually think I left a few songs into it to be honest.

Same here. I remember thinking his show looked so rehersed that it was the same thing you have seen on TV a hundred times. And honestly if ya can't be on time (or at least within 15-20 mins) at a festival where people have their schedules tightly planned then you deserve a little booing. No disrespect to James Brown intended. Bob Dylan did the same thing. He was 45 mins late getting started.

I played euchre through his set. I will not lie. Nice background music guy! I'm not hating on Bobby D either - I love him!!!!!! I just like dancin' with my live music.

lots of valid points here. but I agree, you get all those different genres of music, which brings a lot of different types of people....does not sound like a festy for me. but I'm not a fan of boo-ing people, I'd prefer if you just went on your way if someone is late or if you don't like the musician (Springsteen...YUCK!! ) It would suck big time if I was there to see someone I loved (let's just say MULE! :P ) and a shitload of people were booing them. let those that came to see them enjoy it, and go find someone you would enjoy..or play some cards!! EUCHER ANYONE?

you never know why JB was late..could have been beyond his control. the guy deserves respect!

I can attest to not ever booing anyone, except for the asshole who hit Lewis Black from the crowd in '07 at Mule's set. I booed the f!*k out of that asshole.

Owly, you wanna play some euchre? ;)

I'll bring some cards if someone will teach me how to play Euchre.

It's wicked easy. I will teach you! I used to be a middle school teacher, not to say I was good at it, but I have a few strategies in my sleeve.
