Re: New Members / 1st Timers - Please Read This
I can't decide if I should leave Tuesday around 1:00pm or early Wednesday morning. It's about a 5 hour drive, so if I leave Tuesday after a 1/2 day @ work say at 1:00pm, that puts me arriving at SOSMP round' 6:00pm. Enough time to set up camp and crack open that first Wanee beverage. What else is their to think about right? Just realized I'm no longer a Wanee Gnome, I'm now a good ol' Georgia/Wanee Peach.

Welcome all! Mojo... Think about your camp setup! 6PM doesn't leave a lot of time to get through the gate, find a camp site and set your tent before dark! I'm just sayin'...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about. BUT, I'll be in my VW Bus (My Avatar) so I plan on sleeping in it the first night. That way, I could set up camp Wed morning. All I'll have to do on Tues when I get there is find our spot. I'm planning on camping down on River Road, so I should be ok I hope. My buddy isn't getting there til' Thursday. So, I'll have a whole day to cruise on my bike and explore the park, maybe rent a kayak.

Harmonica_Dude wrote: That's cool! BTW... Is the VW a Westy? Unfortunately, no. It's a hard top Vanagon GL, the first owner built custom cabinets for it and installed running water also. I'm the 2nd owner. Excited to take it to my first show and Wanee is the perfect cherry popper! Tried posting a pic, Is there a trick to posting pics on here, every time I try it says file too large ???

Need to edit the JPG to a smaller resolution... I use Mihov Image Resizer (Freeware!) Need to get the file size less than 1/2Mb, I think.
