I am laughing my ass off at the crack about George Clinton (pun intended). I once ran in him to him at a liquor store and he was high as hell, smelled horribly, looked homeless and could barely talk. I can only imagine the guy on a stage. It breaks my heart to type this but I have no desire to watch Johnny Winter. The badass guitar slinger that once prowled the stage like a God has been reduced to a febble old man. I know we should be happy that he is still with us but I would rather remember my childhood idol in a much better light.

what a great picture of junior marvin. unfortunately he wont be with the wailers when they come to wanee. i am a huge wailers fan and i have to agree, they did not do closing of wanee justice last year. it was slugish and with out much energy. i know i spent the entire rainstorm on saturday afternoon/evening puffin with familyman and the band. i was wasted and im sure they were lit too. but im sure they can handle tons more then me. i hope they dont close the festival this year. as for who i dont wanna see, none really. i think this years line up is great, there is nobody i dislike or hate so im pretty stoked

Really, where did you hear about him not playing at Wanee? Do you have any info about why or when he may join the tour?

Junior Marvin's nephew, Moese Angel used to live here in Northern California until he died in an ATV accident two years ago out in Laytonville. Last year at Reggae Rising, The Wailers did a whole tribute to Moese with the help of his sister, Luna.

For me, I'm not looking forward to WSP but I'll give them another shot. Who knows, maybe something will click this time.

I like the Allman Brothers just ok. I've seen them so many times I guess I'm burnt out. I know it's blasphemy but I've had it bottled up so long I just had to let it out.

ok, real quick story, last year at Wanee, we were sitting around the camp, (in the rain....) with some new and old friends, of course music was the topic of conversation, so i threw in my infamous curveball..."man, i can't stand the GREATFUL DEAD, they just suck!".... hahaha, heads turned, i was almost escorted to the edge of the woods and all...too funny! I was just kidding of course, but it was still too funny to see how the jaws dropped and all the love just went to s#%t with a quickness! Haha! Then i carried my happy wet ass to stand knee deep in mud to see the DRIVE BY TRUCKERS! and thats my story. LOL :D :D :D :D

best story I've read on this board

Particle

I'd stab my eardrums out to dodge listening to them. Honestly, not being negative or funny, where do they fit in?

Just my opinion but I'd pay an extra 20 bucks for them NOT to play. Then, add mo MULE. My friend nicknamed them Farticle- I laughed. P- U- they stink. Have a NiceAZZ day!

but if I had mini-clips of Pantera flashing Dimebag Daryl, I'd be a lot cooler right? Give my regards to the Particle fan club.

junior does not play with the wailers anymore. probably for the last 2 years. apparently he wasnt getting paid so he and al anderson started the original wailers.
the wailers and original wailers dont even get along.
so the wailers will be at wanee
i would much rather see the original wailers but alas
