This will be my 4th Wanee and every year I discover something new. Last year it was Disc Golf. They have a really cool course. Don't forget to check out the beach area and swim in the refreshing (ie cool) river. Don't let the brown water color scare you...it's just staining from the roots of the trees. There are nightly "drum circles" down by the lake. As for security, honestly it's never been an issue, either at the gate or campsite. In fact, you'll be hard pressed to find any police or security people wandering around. Trust me, they would have to hassle a whole bunch of people...if you know what I mean ;)

 The big green fence by Chug Point Charlie, at Mushroom stage. I leaned, there, swilling my own beer, with several other degenerates, watchin' and diggin' Laura Love, at Magfest two years ago. Too cheap, at that point, to walk in and buy their expensive draft. Extra-high fiber brownies, and, peer pressure eroded our wills, eventually. We filed in, and took our seats like some of the higher-evolved primates. :D

you know what owlie? i suspect you are one of the only ones they
"patted" down:)

anyway... to answer the original ? .... i'm the only one in our camp that's not huge on the music. and that's ok too. i basically go for the party and the vacay:) and that's ok too! katie and i had a great experience sitting and talking with the bee keeper last year. don't limit yourself! just plan on going every year and you will experience something new and wonderful!and then you don't feel like you've missed anything.

Treehugger, where are you? We were in special-p , like 56/58?, and they moved us to River Rd. You must be close to that area.

I'll be sure to stuff a banana in my front pocket every time I plan to walk through a gate to throw them off so the mule behind me passes through unabated.
