Post Re: folding chairs , people, and isles
People who sit with chairs are aware of the fact that they intend on being below the general view. If I sit in a chair anywhere during a show I'm not looking for any optimal view. I don't see this escalating at all, I think it just makes entertaining forum talk. Who the hell wants to sit for any of the shows is beyond me, rage cage as close as one can get.

Sitting down at an ABB or Panic show is as absurd as standing up and dancing at the Opera!

This thread is funny as hell. Sadly, its factually accurate and definately deserves a few opinions chucked around the horn. First off, the chair people and the dancing people has a very similar storyline(not really but let go there anyways) as the Greasers and the Socs in "The Outsiders".

Im a greaser(dancer) myself. Actually, I roll with a shoulder stool(wish more people did the same) if Im dizzy or need a break. Its tiny yet amble. Respectful, unlike some of the geezers with their triple decker, electronic rigged, refrig./cooler built in, takes up a country mile type of thingys, "folding Chairs". Some of those chairs were bigger than my car. Ridiculous. But I digress.

Im a rug cutter...and always try to accomodate everyone. After all, this problem were discussing is in love, not hate. Friendly ribbing on a good buddy:) Aisles would be a fantastic idea. A tiny bit of thru ways and it could be much improved. But I will end with this. I'd camp thru a Category 5 to see this lineup this year.

Not a bad idea... we did this once inside Boston Gardens years ago... not entirely legal at that venue but fun none the less.

the thing about not having chairs upfront is that the crowd is a living, breathing, moving, accomodating organism. People get bumped and the bump gets brushed off and the people adjust. bump somebody in a chair and you just ruined the 12 hours that they have been sitting there or even worse, not sitting there but holding a spot. you even have to worry about tripping over the chairs and people in them........ex. if you bumped into someone dancing, it is probalbly gonna be the shoulder. if you bump into someone sitting its probably gonna be the back of your knee which could cause you to fall into the assholes' lap behind you.......and guess who is going to be the most pissed??
for even some of the wildest dancers, but obviously not the very wild, somones "footprint" can easily be 4 square feet. lets say the the "footprint" of the average chair nazi is 9 square feet. then take into account those who have the foot rest attachement =12 square feet. if you have a group of 4 people w/ foot rest attachements =48 square feet........4people dancing =16 square feet. taking up 4 times as much room that close to the stage is very self centered and a total asshole move
