Just curious to see if anyone else will be camping out in one. If you see the bright yellow one stop on in.

My old split window has gone on to the great scrap yard in the sky.

That is the saddest thing I have heard all day. The good news it that there are more out there waiting for good homes. You just have to look.

I sooo want a VW bus. The newer ones just don't have that vibe that the older ones have.

That was a bus but not a VW. It was VERY nice!

As for my old VW bus, the body was rusting away and it needed a new everything. But I got it for free and drove it on and off for years. Still have my chopped '60 beetle.

I think the split windows are great. I find them to cramped to be daily drivers(at least for myself). The Happy Honky is a 1973.

I had one that my parents gave me after my brother destroyed the clutch with his garage band.....I couldn't get the thing to go from first to second and second to third. Sooooooo, I went from first to third and didn't slow down at corners.
Also, got my boyfriend who knew how to drive a manual tranny better than I, to drive all the time when we needed it for parties or trips. I finally traded it in for a Benz. Love those German engineered cars! ;)
