Yes, the cemetary is 5min from my house. This weekend is GABBA fest in macon. A showing of the ABB documentary "Please call Home" detailing the time the band spent in Macon. Followed by some killer concerts and tours of grants lounge, "The Big House" (the house the Brothers lived in while in Macon that has been turned into a Museum, and a tour and cleanup of Rosehill cemetary.

Yes, saw the Bros in Macon in 1991 there and we took a trip to the cemetary before the show. It was raining and cold. We got lost in the cemetary trying to find the graves. I is a HUGE place and was a very creepy scene. I think once was enough for that one.

About the gravesite: For some reason Gregg and his family did nothing to maintain the site. Vandalism and desecration were becoming a problem. Last year, Big Ann some people from the Allman Brothers forum organized a charity fund to build a fence around the graves. Believe it not they raised about $20,000 from fan donations and darn it if they didn’t build that fence. Here is what they did:

This is a picture of me, my friend Barry, and Keith at the grave sites in 1991. Keith, on the far right, will be at Wanee with me. He's a very cool dude and turned me onto Wanee.

Re: rosehill cemetary> anyone ever been to see duane and berry
Finally, this past April while visiting a friend in Atlanta, I took a ride to Macon. Got a great tour of The Big House (gutted, but being worked on diligently) from Greg the manager; I ate at H and H Diner, and visited Rose Hill Cemetary. When I drove in I didn't know where to go. There was a policeman on a hill overseeing prisoners, and before I could get a word out he started giving me directions... In Atlanta I bought an Epiphone Les Paul and took its picture near Duane. It was a very spiritual day for me, and I'm not prone to saying things like that. Looking forward to Wanee! Greg Attachment:

Here are pictures of the headstones. Simple, tasteful. On another topic, in Skydog, Randy Poe says that Duane's daughter Galadreille is/was writing a book about Duane. Anyone have any information on this? thanks greg Attachment:

Re: rosehill cemetary> anyone ever been to see duane and berry
Drove from Jacksonville to my hometown in NE Alabama today. Was thinking about hitting the cemetary on the way back down to J-ville.
Does anyone have any advice on the easiest way to get there from I-75?
Weird that this thread popped up today on my drive while I was thinking about it.
