Post Monday Morning Bitchfest

started my morning by going to Best Buy.com to make a payment. If you know me you know I have great credit, I pay early and never miss a payment. So I go on line to make a payment..we usually do those zero interest if you pay off by certain date. We had bought a 36 inch flat screen 2 years ago that was so freakin expensive compared to what they are now. We have since bought a bigger flat screen.

Balance should have been around 800 bucks for the newest flat screen, but it was nearly 3000. I called hubby, he called Best Buy who informed us that we had 60 dollars balance on the 1st tv that was not paid off by the date, and they charged us nearly 2000 dollars in interest. 2000 dollars in interest on a 60 dollar balance.

I thought it had been paid in full. I was confused because obviously they don't make it clear and simple ...they want you to f!*k up so they can ream you up the ass.

Brett argues for nearly an hour, finally got them to bring it down to 200 bucks. Needless to say, this will be my last purchase at Best Buy. no more computer, no more flat screens, no CD's, DVDs, phones, cameras, NOTHING.

hope it was worth the 200 dollar additional interst WORST BUY. you have lost two customers!!

ADIOS!! looks like Nebraska Furniture Mart will be getting all my money in the future!

honestly, it's probably worth 200 to make you mad enough not to shop at best buy again/.

that place is a rip off and a joke. and 9 times out of 10, if you ask someone a mildy difficult technical question, they either won't know, or they'll make something up in an attempt not to look stupid for selling something they know nothing about.

sorry about the 200 but that's WAY better than 2k

Wow owly, that is a heluva way to start off your week. That really bites! :x

Once upon a time businesses actually tried to please their customers, were reasonable and used logic and common sense, and would work with you to keep your business no matter what. Those days are over it seems. These huge corporations are so big that they could care less if they lose your business. There is no such thing as good customer service or customer appreciation any more! :x

amen to that. being a travel agent and dealing with airlines..I have never in my life seen such poor customer service.

yes, 200 bucks is definately better than 2000. but if you want to keep a good customer, it would have been worth it for them to waive the penaltly and give us an exception..especially when we have never been late, and never needed to ask for an exception in the 6 plus years we've had a Best Buy card. I'll pay the 200, and take my thousands to another store.

and do everything in my power to make Best Buy lose business.

HENCE THIS THREAD!!

facebook is next.

You mess with this bull, you get MY HORNS!!

I know I f'ed up. but I also know they can waive it and they chose not to. so, I choose never to shop there again.

Sorry to hear that Owlie, but at least you caught it and got them to reduce it before they could really screw you guys. In the long run you'll be much better off not buying from those douche-bags anyway.

You can usually find everything they sell online for a fraction of the price. Amazon prime rocks, we home school and order a lot of books which is why we initially got a prime membership. As Amazon has expanded it's really paid off. 2 day free shipping for some of the heavier items is a sweet deal 8-)

Between Amazon, Newegg, and E-Bay you can find just about anything.

Oh yeah, I like to keep an eye on woot! too. I think that it's only appropriate that Owllover occasionally woot!
