Post Primitive Camping and the Spirit of the Suwanee Park
Hey Now, so we're getting down to Wanee early and we'll be doing the primitive camping thing since all sites are booked/reserved for the weekend. If I'm going to be there all week are there NO shower facilities or regular bathrooms? :?

I was planning on bringing the solar shower thingy we have but Im hoping I can take a real hot shower while I'm there before the masses arrive...and be able to "sit down" in the am. Am I SOL?

Regular showers and bathrooms are there and bringing the solar shower as a back-up isn't a bad idea. If you review the map at Online Wanee Map you'll see where they are located at and maybe be able to strategically set up near one.

Whew! :) That is a relief, I hate getting my panties in a bunch! Thanks guys!

Also just one other question about port-o-potties and the regular jons. I figure when i get there the p-o-p's won't be set up yet, and am hoping I don't pick a camp site too close to where they will be set up. Traditionally do they always put those p-o-p's close to the regular bathrooms or is it a random act of nature ;)

The early bird, gets the shower. Seriously, the lines for the showers can get very long, so the earlier you get to the shower rooms the better. Of course, you can just grab a bar of 100% organic soap and hit the Suwanne river for a morning bath. It keeps with the whole "primitive" camping thing. :D

porta potties aren't next to the regular bathrooms... but they are not that far. when we arrived last year on Wednesday the porta potties were ready to go. beyond that I don't know.

I had no problem getting a shower on thursday morning. I didn't even try on Friday, I just hosed down at my camp. I think I did the same on saturday.

I don't think Paul or Brett showered the entire week we were gone. NIIIIICE.
