NP, You might consider switching to a light beer. If the festival lasts 8 hours you'll be drinking like 24 beers!!!!

That's almost a case! hahaahha

I'll have to work hard at pacing myself. That has been a recurring problem tailgating all day at races!

I no longer drink but back in the day I learned to drink a beer, drink an O'Douls, drink a real beer, drink two O'douls, etc. to pace myself. I had a lot more fun that way and still felt like a real man because I had to pee just as much as the drinkers.

:o You are funny! I don't drink a bunch anymore either but went to a local seafood fest this past weekend here in town trying to find my friends band (they had three stages set up all around the waterfront and all kinds of vendors!) Well, finally found them and they did not play on Sunday...anyway was talkng to Chazz(former ABB)he was in a local club listening to a local band and I was drinking some Stella I had never had that beer and man that was some good stuff I bet I had five or six (that's a lot for me) and had a nice buzz woke up NO hang over!!!So now have a new fav that I can get here!! But was pacing them with water so that might have helped too?

In my drinking days I had it figured out, I could drink nine beers a night and be ok. There was always something wrong with that tenth beer that gave me a hangover. Of course that never stopped me from testing that tenth beer.

I love beer and there are so many good ones out now, I really wish I could try them out but I know I wont stop if I get back into the habit so they are off my diet. So I'll salute you with my non-alcoholic version and pretend I'm drinking something good. Actually there are some decent non-alcoholic beers now, much better than O'Douls.

What about bottles? Does management have any issues with beer bottles at the cammpsites?

Never bring bottles to anything. They weigh too much, clank during disposal, and get in the way of more beer in the cooler.

I'm thinkin liketosmoke was smokin too much when stating; "24 beers, that's almost like drinkin a case, man!"

LOL.

do they do pocket searches upon entry to the actual show grounds not the campground but the stage area.. you know .. just in case i feel like taking a smoke break in the midst of a live act

I agree that it is much better for the community if you bring cans instead of bottles. Unfortunately, you can’t drink Chimay out of a bottle. Any good beer would be ruined if in a can.

I’m on the fence on this. I will only be bringing generic cans, but I can’t really condemn someone for bringing bottles since they are allowed. I would suggest being extra careful with the disposal of your bottles and it is all good.

Yea bottles are heavy and damn cumbersome to deal with in the process of transportation and disposal alike, but i cannot - repeat cannot, as a self respecting beer fanatic, bring myself to buy cans. Glass is the way i consume most any of my favorite vices be it liquid or vegetation.

In lieu of sounding redundant i want to echo MAPEXPROM's question about the body searches prior to gaining entrance to the stages. I understand the people who work at these shows are not ignorant to the fact of what will be going on and i also understand they must search you to an extent, but i too would love a smoke break during the acts, but dont wana get thrown out. How extensive are the searches on a person? Probably a ridiculous question, and i am a master of concealment and a owner of common sense, so should i use these 2 traits and just be cool or should i really HIDE my goodies?

Just got back back from the beer store with a handpicked 6 pack of Belgium brews, Chimay included to compliment my 2 cases of Busch Light! 25$ on a 6 pack, 8.99 for an 18 pack of Busch Light
