 What was your first FESTIVAL Let's recall our first festival, where, when and WHO? I will begin. June 27-28, 1969-Denver Pop Festival: 27th * Big Mama Thornton * The Flock * Three Dog Night * Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention* Iron Butterfly 28th * Aeorta* Zephyr (with Tommy Bolin)* Poco* Johnny Winter * Tim Buckley 29th * Aum* Rev. Cleophus Robinson * Sweetwater* Joe Cocker * The Jimi Hendrix Experience (final performance together) I was 14.... been to a few since then as well

Re: What was your first FESTIVAL Before they were f'ing sell-outs (  ), Ben & Jerry's had a great party every year at Sugarbush called the One World, One Heart festival. SO GREAT. It was free, had lots of free ice cream, GREAT acts & was close to my house ( ). I want to say I was around 13 the first year I went. Over the years I saw Michelle Shocked, Suzanne Vega, Little Feat, Blues Traveller, The Band, Buddy Guy, Shawn Colvin..... (there were many more, but these were the acts that made an impression on teenage me) Eventually they started getting more commercial and changed venues....and then all the fun was gone.

Re: What was your first FESTIVAL Miami Pop 69 Gulfstream Park: The Greatful Dead, Fleetwood Mac(Peter Green) Procol Harem(Robin Trower) Terry Reid, Joni Mitchell, Everybody sat in there seats ,(no FlipOut Artist) and dug the music. Duane Allman and friends sat a couple of rows form us it was before he started his band.

I am very impressed...as they are the artists I was never able to see...except Duane Allman 1970 w/ABB in St. Paul... I can relate to the "sitting in seats"... At DPF, we sat in bleachers....during JHE set most of the other bands "SAT" on the ground in front of the stage and got into Jimi...

Re: What was your first FESTIVAL My first music festival was Ultra 2001 in Miami, Florida. (That was back in my raver days  ) ps.....so over that seen like 7yrs ago Then Last Year was my first year at Wanee!!!! Now Im a Wanee-Aholic
