First timer at wanee. Super excited and I am trying to get a gameplan on where to camp. The beach area looks great but how far of a walk is it to the main stage? I think we may be better off down by the drum circle area...looks a little more central. Thanks for all of the great info/maps/etc and can't wait to join the family....

The beach is far from the venue area. There is plenty of primitive camping between the beach and the stage, and there are plenty of spots throughout the park!

Looking at the waneefest map in my sig you can see river road highlighted in blue which shows 1 mile from the beach to the front gate area of the peach stage. If you right click on the map where the red line is at river road (for the back gate to the peach stage) and select "directions from here" and then slide the map to the beach area and right click again and select "directions to here" it shows a final value of .08 of a mile and if you click on the walking option it shows about 15 minutes walking time. It may take a bit longer than that if you are at a casual stroll. Of course getting to/from the mushroom stage will add more time.

it is about a 10 min walk, unless you can hitch a ride.
