Following Petes mission to bring out obscure (or let's say truly underestimated artists) to the masses I use this topic to the tribute of World Party.

Not that obscure and I know there's a small US group of fans. Word Party is Karl Wallinger (that plays most of the intruments on the 5 excellent records he/they have made). Some small "hits" but never a break through. Very good 60-70 ties influenced songs with great lyrics and a playful attitude. Here's a clip (notice the Sympathy for the Devil rip of at the end - Karl likes to put in references to the idols of his own).
