 Re: Dickey Betts
Talk about a true insightful thread. Betts value is/was immeasurable. His issues don't sit well with me but............so many bands never get the opportunity to play again because they freakin' DIE. It would be nice if they could find a way. Either way, the Brothers of today effing stand on it. I am convinced that they are at the top of thier game. Warren Haynes deserves as much credit as he could ever recieve. "Meat and potatoes" describes it perfectly. I love the guy. It's a wonderful time to be alive and soak up what all these guys bring. And I'm glad to take as much of it in as possible.

 Re: Dickey Betts
Butch sure doesn't miss a chance to lob some bombs at Dickey when he gets the chance...
I would LOVE to see a reunion. They need to play at Grant's downtown and only invite me...

 Re: Dickey Betts
It was a joke lol. The more the better. They could close off Poplar and set a stage up and one end.
PERFECT!
I've got 5 on this.

 Re: Dickey Betts
One reason why the band is may fav (first saw in 19710 is how they have evolved. Dickey was amazing-Blue Sky is one of my fav songs. Warren and Derek have been outstanding additions to the band. I don't think any are bettr than another-just diff strengths and approaches to the music. Perhaps amends are needed all aroud. Would love to see them jam together again. Who knows how much longer the band will be playing-every concert is a gift.

 Re: Dickey Betts
From an old time fan of ABB.....I would love to see Dickey on stage with the Brothers....But there are alot of bad feelings there...they asked him to sit in at the 40th Beacon and he would not return the call........some bad feelings are hard to bury.......So very sad.
