 Re: Festival Tips and Tricks...
I'm not trying to bring any negative energy in here but I just took a peek at the weather forecast and the rain chances have gone up for Friday & Saturday. I know a lot can change and it's Florida, etc...but it don't look promising.
Any of the primitive campers in here have some clever tips/tricks on how they keep their camp dry when it's wet? Let's hear 'em!

40 and 60%, F & S. I put an easy up over my tent which seems to help keep it dry. I also try not to camp on an incline where water will run through my camp, or at least my tent. Put a tarp down under your tent. If it looks like it is going to rain, i put my stuff i don't want wet in the car. Don't forget to bring a towel!

 Re: Festival Tips and Tricks...
Place a folded up tarp under your tent but make sure its completely under the tent. You don't want any of the tarp protruding past the walls of the tent or if it rains the water will funnel underneath. Also spray your tent down with water proff sealer, you can also use seam seal.

 Re: Festival Tips and Tricks...
Keep the rain fly on and use the guy lines to hold it in place, throw a tarp on everything you want to stay dry, with the mindset that water will run into downhill. Poor guy two years ago just threw a tarp over his tent because he didn't have a rain fly, filled the tarp and dumped it inside the tent. I felt so bad for him.

djkeeb69 and Alex:
As an Eagle Scout, I LOVE your list!
This helps the newbys big time.
The only think I would suggest would be for people to consider what is important to them; don't bring the whole list. You may not fit it in the car!
Plan your stay; think about your day and the things you may do in it. Also, plan for your difficulties I.E, if you forgot something, how much would your life suck!
By thinking your Wanee trip through, you should be OK! And remember, we're all brothers and sisters here! Ask for help!
