Post Re: The BEER Thread
I really enjoy brewing my own. I have recently completed a a nice Irish Stout that is similar to Guiness and an Amber Ale which is nice. Next up is a Tangerine Wheat that Trippin and I are brewing together and bringing to Wanee. Also bought an IPA kit where the beer is modeled after Ferocious IPA. Should be quite good. May bring a few of those to Wanee as well if I get it brewed in time.

Post Re: The BEER Thread
Well, being from Chico, i'm going with the home team, Sierra Nevada.

I'm not a Pilsner, Hefeweizen, Bock, or Wheat type drinker. I like Ales, Stouts, Porters; typically the hoppier stuff. But that's not to say that I won't partake in enjoying the others.

I typically drink the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale but lately have been enjoying the Torpedo Ale, as it's a bit hoppier.

But, I have to tout their Estate Homegrown Ale as one of the finest things to pass my lips, but it's a bit pricey at $8 a bottle

That said, there are more than enough other great beers and ales than one can shake a stick at that are on par with Sierra Nevada and or better even. But, I tend to stick with something I know will satisfy my soul and mouth.

New Belgium's seasonal Skinny Dip - fantastic summer lager that tastes like herb;
though I do love their Fat Tire.
Sweetwater 420
Our local craft brewery's King Street Stout, especially good with some vanilla ice cream:
