 Re: The BEER Thread
Good to see y'all talking bout Bell's.
Larry Bell bought his keg of Oberon at Hopjacks in Pensacola after Emerald Coast Beer fest '08 and made it free. My roommate and I, who had mixed nectar with our beer to ensure stamina through the night, quickly helped float that keg.
We went to thank him after the bartender pointed him out, and, completely trashed, thanked him for making Two Hearted Ale, one of my all time fav beers/IPAs, to which he replied "I'm glad theres real drinkers here! (he was f!*ked up on whiskey) and kept buying us rounds of two hearted draft until we couldn't drink anymore (about 6 a piece). Cool guy!!!
Brewdog beer is hard to find, but worth trying, very experimental.
Hopslam is one of the best IPAs of all time, expensive though.
Terrapin has been making the firemost beer lately, if you are ever in Athens you can find rare beers they make that you can't find outside of the area really, GREAT stuff.
Terrapin has a deal right now, you mail them back 20 6 pack holders for re-use, or bring them into the brewery, and you get a "terrapin prankster" shirt (!!!) and get invited to special events at the brewery. Last time I was there I needed assistance leaving from friends, and they had Lefty Williams Band playing, who can play some mean ABB.

Wavo wrote: is this thread making anyone else Jonesin ? Uh yeah! I'm going to start my Wanee beer collection this weekend! A little of this a little of that - bringing Fat Tire for trade , Terrapin Hopsecutioner because it's so frikin' good, Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA (or the 90minute if I can find it). MH#9 for my baby, er.. Bud when it just don't matter any more and whatever looks good at the moment. I'll definitely be looking at some of the suggestions in this thread. BTW we are at SOSMP for the full week - YAY! *edit* so I plan to exercise my liver a bit!
