I stole it from somewhere on the web-o-sphere but it reminds me of my old Golden Retreiver. His name was Max. For years I used "maxdog" as my handle on the Internet until there got to be too many other maxdogs. The way I figured it was that he had a pedigree and I didn't so it was a step up for me!
When I had Max I also had a 1962 Austin-Healey 3000. I'd take him for rides in it which always involved a trip through McDonald's drive thru so he could get fries. Damn good dog! Sadly he has gone on before. So has the Healey.

Max went a little early at age 12. He was one sick dog when I had to make the decision to have him put to sleep. One of the hardest days of my life. I'd love to have another Golden (or two!) but I simply don't have the time right now to spend with them and that wouldn't be fair to the dog(s). Maybe in a few years.
