There are things that music can do that language could never do, that painting can never do, or sculpture. Music is capable of going directly to the source of the mystery. It doesn't have to explain it. It can simply celebrate it.(and make you dance your azzoff!)

Now you know I am a funkateer, first and foremost. HOWEVER, a friend just turned me on to Pokey LaFarge, not my usual fare.

So all of you who already KNOW about Pokey and have been keeping this secret, well, SHAME ON YOU!

This is magical stuff. Try a couple on for size.

Scott...you made an entry on the other topic for the Fugs....not many people have ever heard of the Fugs....I made a reply..."I $*!+ my Pants"....that I thought was by the Fugs....and I went on Youtube to listen to this old song....but someone on the site said it was not them...so I deleted my post. They may be right as I went on their discography and didn't find this song.
But being an old Fugs fan.....(Andie posted "Coca Cola Douche")...
I went back into Youtube and listened so some of the old classics. They are just as fun and irreverent today as they were back then. We used to sing "Boobs-a-lot" and some of that stuff about 40 years or so ago.
If you haven't listened...go back and catch them. CIA Man, Mutant Stomp, Coca Cola Douche.....hell all of them.
