Ian Gillian - Deep Purple, went on to Black Sabbath for a time.

Ronnie James Dio (best rock voice ever) - Rainbow / Black Sabbath

I can't think of a third one that was significant. I know he married the singer of his current band, think her name is Candy or something.
There were other singers in Rainbow as well but???? Sorry

Damn I just cheated and can't believe I missed the third one. Thought Richie was outta the band by the time he came on board.

That works for me! Pose a question.

Ian Gillan was also the voice of Jesus Christ in the original recording of "Jesus Christ Superstar."

Rod Evans was the singer on the first three Deep Purple albums (Shades of..., Book of Taliesyn, and self-titled [with the Hieronymous bosch cover]). He was also the first vocalist for Captain Beyond.

I saw Dio with Rainbow and would echo your sentiment -- what an astounding voice! It leapt out at you.

Thought you might have meant David Coverdale. Of course he went on to white snake.

Name the actor who is the15th richest musician? (245 million)
Hint: he recently wrapped up a long running gig on a very popular sitcom.
Extra point for his band name.

Well, there you have it. First, I consistently misspelled ritchie Blackmore as Richie. And, more importantly, I forgot all about Coverdale.

WHADDA IDIOT!

Sir you are no idiot.

On the other hand Mr. R Blackmore has been known to be an idiot.

Jesse and the Rippers

Now to think of a question

Thank you! And you are most correct about Mr. Blackmore.

I suppose somebody should "WRING HIS NECK!"

I was reading some excerpts from his peers about his arrogance and actually saw this quote from him;

Hendrix inspired me, but I was still more into Wes Montgomery. I was also into the Allman Brothers around the time of those albums.

So I thought, maybe he wasn't all bad. Then I read this gem;

Stevie Ray Vaughan was very intense. Maybe that's what caught everybody's attention. As a player, he didn't do anything amazing.

I was right...

Back to the question at hand, sorry, not Mrs. Romijn.

What do glam-rockers the New York Dolls have in common with the smash party hit "Hot Hot Hot?"

Buster Pointdexter is David Johansen! I liked him better with the wig and heels.
