Just looked it up! "Ballad in Blue" My bad!! I should double check my sources before I post. Lesson learned.

LOL, it wasn't exactly a big screen debut. I just happen to like the movie... Put it in the "To Sir with Love" oldies category.

I looked it up on imdb and it looks really cool. I'll have to hunt it down.

A. Talas - Buffalo based band from 70's - 80's
Got to see them back in the 80's and rocked my socks off.
A little history: https://www.google.com/#q=Talas+band&revid=950184989

New Question: What Ronnie James Dio's 1st band, also a NY Based band :?:

I did not know this until Saturday. There was a guy sitting in for the Sixties Show on WMNF in Tampa: two hours of music from the 60s and early 70s. He had the best show I've heard in this slot in 30 years. He had just blown my teeny little brain with these three songs:

"Waiting for the Wind" -- Spooky Tooth
"Inside Looking Out" -- the Animals
"Under the Ice" -- Nazz

I was about to call him to compliment when he whipped out "Never In My Life" by Mountain! BAM!

And then he played a great song I didn't know -- by ELF!

I hope that is the answer you were searching for.

Two great guitar players in the 70s were posturing as the next coming of Hendrix and the greatest and two bags of chips. Frank Marino of Mahogany Rush added an 'e' to the end of his name (Franke) for numerology purposes. His claims at greatest led to this response from the other great player (but NOT great human):

HE CHALLENGED ME, SO I CRUSHED THE FURKER!

(He did use the other F word.)

Who is this sub-human?
