Since you were in a Zeppelin state of mind I thought it might have been "Gallows Pole", since its in so many movies and such an old song. I couldn't help myself and cheated and saw the Right answer. Good movie too.

New question.

In the movie "Paul," written by and starring Simon Pegg & Nick Frost of "Shaun of the Dead" fame, they are two British comic-book geeks traveling across the U.S. when they encounter an alien outside Area 51.

Late in the movie, they all stop at a country bar for a pit stop. There is a country band on stage playing.

What song is the band playing?

Too stale now. nomad figured it out. The country band is playing the Cantina Band Song from the original "Star Wars." And Linda called it before I did!

I have to say, for those of an age, it was hard to know what to make of that first Star Wars movie at the time. It was so camp, so funny, and so like all the cowboy shows we watched growing up. And beer helped.

I mean, did the storm troopers ever hit ANYTHING besides Luke's arm? And that was several movies later!
BUELLER? BUELLER?

When Herman Noone of Herman's Hermits sang:

"I'm 'Enery the Eighth I am" (Henry VIII)

what did he mean?

He meant that he was setting the stage for my friends, Skippy & Pep and myself to leave scars of embarrassment every time we recollect ourselves pantomiming this in front of the entire neighborhood in 5th or 6th grade.

CORRECT!

Also, and let me assure you that it's SPELLED here as Henry, but he pronounced it as 'EN-ER-Y.

I'm Henry the eighth, I am
Henry the eighth, I am, I am
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before

And every one was an Henry (Henry)
She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam (No Sam)
I'm her eighth old man, I'm Henry
Henry the eighth I am

Second verse, same as the first

I'm Henry the eighth, I am
Henry the eighth, I am, I am
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before

And every one was an Henry (Henry)
She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam (No Sam)
I'm her eighth old man, I'm Henry
Henry the eighth I am

I'm Henry the eighth, I am
Henry the eighth, I am, I am
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before

And every one was an Henry (Henry)
She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam (No Sam)
I'm her eighth old man, I'm Henry
Henry the eighth I am

H-E-N-R-Y
Henry (Henry)
Henry (Henry)
Henry the eighth I am, I am
Henry the eighth I am
Yeah!

mccjeff danced, we all sang, I bought the single, and it was number 1. Go figure.

What is significant about the beginning of "The Day Begins" and the end of "The Night: Nights in White Satin" on "Days of Future past?"

Begin and end with Graeme Edge's poem "Late Lament". I admit I had to research this one. But I was anxious to get another post so that I could start a thread...
